Depending on your sleeve, there may be a gap of up to 1 on the sides and 1/2 on top between the unit and the existing sleeve. Covering these vents (as shown to the right) can restrict air flow, diminish performance and could even void your warranty so we strongly advise against it. Our solid-side sleeve has no side vents. You can install it through walls without compromising performance.
